Image of life at Three Rivers Rowing Association

Youth Dragon Boat League

The concept which underlies the Paddlers for Peace Youth Dragon Boat League is that we build Peace by working together as a team. The Dragon Boat is a metaphor for life. Each of the practices will consist of Peace Building activities, warm up, skill work and a scrimmage race. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in the Pittsburgh Dragon Boat Race and possibly an out of town race.

Pittsburgh Dragon Boat Races - July 3

Boats hold 15-20 paddlers, are steered by someone in the back and led by a drummer in the front. Individual signups are welcome and we will form teams after registration closes. Groups of already formed teams are also very welcome. A launch will accompany all practices for safety.

Those with transportation needs should contact Judy Robertson at 412-366-3528 or email her

There is also a free family paddle planned for interested youth and their parents/guardians on May 8 from 11:00-2:30. Please contact Judy if you have questions or just show up!

Please Bring the following 3 things to your first practice:

1. Waiver
2. Registration Form
3. $20
