Adult Summer Dragon Boating League
Adult Summer Paddling Program
June 5th-July 17th (no class July 3rd)
July 24 – August 28
Millvale Training Facility
Have you ever seen Dragon Boating on the Allegheny and wondered how you could get involved? Have you tried dragon boating in the past, but haven’t had the time to commit to a full season? If so, the Adult Summer Paddling program is just what you’re looking for. You will see yourself progress over the 6-week summer session from the basic fundamentals of paddling to mock-race experiences while being lead by the Pittsburgh Paddlefish Dragonboat Team.
- No experience necessary
- All ASP paddlers will wear PFDs at all times while on the water
- Demonstration, Coaching, and Safety Launches will be provided by TRRA and the Pittsburgh Paddlefish
- Space is limited!
Over the course of the six weeks, participants will be included in the Paddlefish practices both in a “beginners” dragon boat as well as included in the practice hulls with the experienced athletes. The purpose of this program is to introduce individuals to the community and sport of dragon boating without the pressure of committing to a team.
Pre-Registration is highly suggested, as space is limited.
For more information or to register, call or email RowAndPaddle@ThreeRiversRowing.org or 412-231-8772.
