Rowing For Fitness

January 2017 – May 2017

This is a 6-week class that meets on Thursdays from 7-8:30pm at the Washington’s Landing Boathouse. The class will focus on fitness and will use the rowing machine primarily but will also include body circuits and stretching. No experience necessary. The class is for all experience levels and will focus on fitness and not necessarily rowing technique.

 

Program Format

Practices will be at the Lambert Boathouse at Washington’s Landing. There are showers and lockers at the boathouse.

There is no need for special attire for this class. It is recommended that shorts or sweats be relatively snug fitting as loose material easily catches in the rowing seat wheels. Bicycle shorts or tights are ideal. Any running shoes or sneakers will be fine. Remember that it is winter and you will work up a sweat, so bring warm clothing to wear when departing.

Classes are held on Thursday evenings, 7-8:30pm.

January 9  – February 13           

*During Session 2 we are also offering a Thursday afternoon class 12-12:45pm for $75 at our Washington’s Landing location                            

Session 3

February 20 – March 27                                     

Session 4

April 3 – May 8

$150/6-week session. TRRA members receive a 50% discount.
