Winter Rowing League

October 2016 – May 2017

Groupon purchasers need to register here.

Responding to strong interest in winter rowing fitness and technique development, TRRA offers a program that provides participants with a winter fitness regimen, as well as prepares rowers for the summer season. The Winter Rowing League (WRL) is offered in four sessions during the winter, each season consisting of six weekly practices for any skill level.

The class will be broken into two divisions:

Level 1 – Designed for all newcomers to rowing looking to get involved with the sport, but either still want to learn what it’s all about, or are looking for a place to start. Practices will emphasize proper technique, rowing together, and proper instruction and use of common rowing commands. Level 1 is offered for all four sessions on either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday from 7-8:30pm.

Level 2 – Perfect for those who already know the basics! Whether you’ve taken one indoor class or been on the water for years, this class will serve you well. You will not only get technical instruction, but you’ll get some great workouts! Prerequisite – Any prior rowing experience or class required. Level 2 is offered sessions 2 through 4, on Thursdays and on Wednesday and Thursday in Session 4 from 7-8:30 pm.
