Three Rivers Junior Rowing (TRJR)

Three Rivers Junior Rowing (TRJR) promotes the sport of rowing at the junior level throughout Allegheny County. Open to any 8th-12th grade athlete – no matter their current athletic ability or experience. – to partake in the sport of rowing. Three Rivers takes a great amount of pride in developing athletes through their entire rowing career. TRJR is one of the most competitive programs in the Midwest Region and has enjoyed a significant amount of success at the national level. Our athletes train hard, learn important life skills, and leave our program prepared for college and life. Many TRJR alums go on to collegiate rowing and a significant number receive athletic scholarships. We are looking for hard workers and individuals willing to set high standards for themselves and their team!

First Row

The mission of First Row is to engage Pittsburgh’s urban high school girls in a community rowing and college preparatory program that cultivates self-discipline, confidence, team-building, and improve health while working with girls to achieve post-secondary goals.

  • Free to all female students in 8th-12th grade attending a Pittsburgh public or charter school

 

Recreational Rowing for 4th – 7th Graders

The Three Rivers 4th-7th Grade Recreational Rowing program exists to introduce the sport of rowing to young people in Allegheny County. Emphasis within the 4th – 7th grade team is on fun and exercise. Participants will be introduced to the sport of rowing through both land and water activities during each practice. Our coaching staff makes safety and long-term athlete development a particular point of focus.
