TRRA is the host to three college rowing programs
Getting Started - Experienced
Row or Paddle with TRRA. Explore these programs for athletes with 1 or more years experience.​

Adult Rowing Teams
TRRA offers four adult rowing opportunities to its members and one summertime college logbook sculling program for non-member college students.

Adult teams:

2-4 practices a week

Morning or evening practice times

Recreational or competitive

All team scull and sweep

College Student Logbook Sculling:​

Independent rowing without a coach

For non-members, summer-break months only

Paddling/Dragon Boat Programs
Enjoy the multiple benefits of belonging to a Dragon Boat team. Both Pittsburgh Paddlefish and the Hearts of Steel programs offer opportunities for teamwork, camaraderie, physical fitness, social outings, and competition.

Logbook Sculling
This program is for members who wish to row/scull unaccompanied by a coach. A rigorous certification test is required which assesses the rowers competence in a single as well as their knowledge of the river, traffic patters and safety considerations. Logbook Scullers may use TRRA equipment or their personal shells.
